Here's what I see: I did not actually reach BAE Systems' homepage at all. What got captured was an Imperva security challenge page, the hCaptcha "I am human" wall that sits in front of the real site.
That means there is nothing here to evaluate about your brand story, your messaging, or your positioning. The words on this screen belong to Imperva and hCaptcha, not to BAE Systems. The only BAE-owned element is the domain name in the header.
I want to be honest with you rather than invent an analysis of copy that isn't yours. Any score I produce here reflects a bot-verification screen, not your homepage. I am scoring what was captured, and I am telling you plainly why the numbers are what they are.
I never reached your homepage: a security wall blocked everything.
I ran into a captcha gate. The entire captured content is Imperva's malware-verification language: "Your computer may have been infected by malware and therefore flagged by the Imperva network."
None of this is your voice. "Why am I seeing this page?" and "What should I do?" are Imperva's headings. The long list of languages is the hCaptcha widget's dropdown. The only trace of BAE Systems is the URL in the blue header bar.
So I cannot tell you whether your homepage names a customer, articulates a problem, or proves authority, because I never saw it. What I can tell you is that a real visitor, or a crawler, or an evaluator like me, sometimes hits this wall instead of your story.
That is worth knowing on its own. If legitimate traffic is being flagged and shown a "you may be infected" message, that is a first-impression problem independent of anything on the actual site.
Everything below scores the screen I was given. Please read it as a diagnosis of a blocked capture, not a verdict on your brand.
It communicates a security verification step: prove you are human before proceeding, and it warns your machine may be infected with malware.
It sounds like it is for any incoming visitor flagged by Imperva's network, not for a specific BAE Systems audience.
The only problem framed is a technical one: traffic must be verified as human and not malicious software.
The promised outcome is simply passage: click the checkbox and you will not see this page again.
Clarity Score v7 reads each company's live homepage, words and visuals together, and scores four dimensions on a 0 to 100 scale.
This board also shows seven legacy primes and public companies as unranked reference points, scored on the same methodology, to show where the established field sits alongside the emerging cohort.
What does Clarity Score measure?
Four dimensions, weighted into the overall score:
How often is the board updated?
Every company is re-scored monthly. The Change column shows movement since the prior reading; the board baselined on Clarity Score v7 in July 2026.
What does Clarity Score not measure?
It measures how clearly a homepage communicates. It does not measure product quality, funding, traction, or whether a company is winning.
BAE Systems sits in Lost in Translation, scored the same way as the ranked companies but not ranked among them. The strong bands open at 75.
